WELCOME MESSAGE

Every school and community envisions a generation of citizens who will be efficient and effective social participants not only in their own society but in the world community as well. Schools First Initiative (SFI) is the reform of the Department of Education for change towards better education outcomes. All aspects in an institution should be given thorough study and consideration. The personnel, school age population, school facilities, financial resources and other programs and projects should be in a stable, enriched and well-planned situations.

It is believed that a well-educated citizenry is the real wealth of a nation and the best investment so as to attain national progress.

With this in mind the administrator, teachers and the School Governing Council plan for different activities. This plan will ensure fruitful outcomes for the school as a whole. It will serve as a guide wherein loopholes, strength and weaknesses can be identified.

Likewise, this plan will be of great help to the higher authorities in order to consider the individual school programs and needs for funding allocations.

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCHOOL – CALUMPANG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Calumpang National High School was established on July 14, 1966. It is located at Barangay Calumpang, Nagcarlan, Laguna, which is 7 kilometers away from the town of Nagcarlan and 13 kilometers from Sta. Cruz, Laguna where the DepEd – Division office is located. It is located amidst the lowland barangays of Nagcarlan and Liliw. Its strategic place is accessible to all those seeking education.

Calumpang National High School has its own site. The 4,494 sq.m. was leased from the municipality of Nagcarlan with the condition of perpetual use. An additional site with an area of 3,911 sq.m. was purchased out of the DECS fund amounting to Php. 200,000.00 in the year 1990. At present, the school has 16 buildings for classrooms catering to more than 1,000 students coming from 21 nearby barangays, a Home Economics building, Library/Resource Learning center, Computer Laboratory, Science Laboratory, Administration /Guidance building School Canteen, Faculty room, Audio Visual room and Teacher Cooperative building.

The school is a P2 school with an annex in Barangay Maravilla, Nagcarlan, Laguna  – the Lowland National High School which is about 8 kilometers away from the main school.  It started its operation in 2002 and now offering a complete high school curriculum.
